Mark Ther often mentions that he likes to remember a time he never experienced, and this interest is reflected in his exhibition at RAVNIKAR. The artist, known for his ability to combine various artifacts with his own works to create unprecedented scenographic environments, invites visitors on an unusual journey with an unusual story. It begins in a space reminiscent of a collector’s depository, shaped by a deeply personal fascination—a carefully preserved archive of intimate traces of adolescence, identity, and corporeality.

The depository has an eclectic historical setting that complements the collection. At the end of the tour, the visitor is directed to the private space, where the only relic of the owner of the collection can be found is an imprint on the bed. This bedroom also includes a triptych called Vencel, which follows the story of a young boy who meets a guinea fowl in a field on the edge of the Broumov Forest. During this journey, viewers find themselves in unexpected situations that force them to reevaluate established norms. Ther works with themes not intended to shock everyone, but rather to offer new perspectives on well-known yet taboo subjects.
